Caring and Creative Assistant Infant Toddler Teacher Needed

 

Cape Cod Children’s Place is a non-profit resource, referral and education center committed to high-quality care, support and advocacy for families with young children on the Lower and Outer Cape. We provide a supportive work environment and are committed to the ongoing professional development of our employees.

 

The Assistant Teacher is supervised by the Lead Teacher/Teacher in managing the classroom and activities planned for our infant/toddler program in Wellfleet. You need to ask questions, follow directions and initiate activities on your own using the routines, classroom rules and academic expectations of the programs. The Assistant Teacher is a valuable part of the teaching team and participates in curriculum planning and observations.

This is a full-time position (36-38 hours), M-F, year round and eligible for full-time benefits.

Qualifications:

  • EEC (Early Education and Care) Certification preferred
  • Diploma or equivalent and some experience working with young children preferred
  • College-level child growth and development education preferred
  • CPR & First Aid certification preferred
  • Other skills: communication skills, team player,  attention to detail, and a positive “can-do” attitude
